How can we help?

Find answers to common questions or reach out directly. We're a small team and we actually read every message.

Getting Started
Everything you need to get your family set up
How do I set up NudgeFamily for the first time? βŒ„
Download NudgeFamily, sign in with your Google account, and connect your Google Calendar. Then invite your partner from the Family tab. Once both parents have connected their calendars, NudgeFamily will automatically start detecting conflicts and showing a combined view.
How do I invite my partner? βŒ„
Go to the Family tab, tap "Invite Partner", and share the invite link via text or email. Your partner will need to download NudgeFamily and sign in with their Google account. Once they accept the invite, both calendars will be linked.
Does NudgeFamily work if we use different calendar apps? βŒ„
Currently NudgeFamily supports Google Calendar for both parents. Outlook and Apple Calendar integration is on our roadmap. If your calendar syncs with Google Calendar, it will work through that connection.
Calendar & Sync
Keeping your family's schedule in sync
My calendar isn't syncing. What should I do? βŒ„
Try disconnecting and reconnecting your Google Calendar from Settings. Make sure you've granted NudgeFamily permission to access your calendar when prompted. If the issue persists, sign out and back in. Contact us at contact@e-skillora.org if it continues.
How often does the calendar sync? βŒ„
NudgeFamily syncs your Google Calendar in real time when you have an internet connection. Pull down on the calendar view to manually trigger a refresh at any time.
Can I add events directly in NudgeFamily? βŒ„
NudgeFamily displays events from your connected Google Calendar. To add or edit events, use your Google Calendar app or calendar.google.com. Changes will sync to NudgeFamily automatically.
Conflict Detection
How NudgeFamily catches problems before they happen
How does conflict detection work? βŒ„
NudgeFamily analyzes both parents' calendars and flags situations where both parents are unavailable at the same time, especially during events that require coverage (school pickups, kids' activities, etc.). Conflicts appear in the Issues Panel with suggested resolutions.
I'm seeing a false conflict. How do I dismiss it? βŒ„
In the Issues Panel, open the conflict and tap "Resolved" or "Not an issue". This will remove it from your active issues. You can always view resolved issues by scrolling down in the Issues Panel.
Can I mark an event as "coverage arranged"? βŒ„
Yes -- when resolving a conflict, select "Coverage Arranged" and NudgeFamily will stop flagging that time slot. This is useful when a grandparent or another caregiver is handling pickup.
Billing & Subscriptions
Managing your NudgeFamily subscription
How does the free trial work? βŒ„
NudgeFamily offers a 7-day free trial with full access to all features. You won't be charged until the trial ends. You can cancel at any time during the trial and you won't be billed.
How much does NudgeFamily cost? βŒ„
NudgeFamily is $3.99/month after the free trial. Your subscription covers both parents in the same family group.
How do I cancel my subscription? βŒ„
On iPhone: go to Settings β†’ your name β†’ Subscriptions β†’ NudgeFamily β†’ Cancel. On Android: open the Play Store β†’ Menu β†’ Subscriptions β†’ NudgeFamily β†’ Cancel. Your access continues until the end of the current billing period.
I was charged but can't access the app. What do I do? βŒ„
First try restoring your purchase: go to Settings in the app and tap "Restore Purchase". If that doesn't work, email us at contact@e-skillora.org with your Apple ID or Google account email and we'll sort it out quickly.
Kids Access
Letting kids check the schedule safely
How do I set up a PIN for my child? βŒ„
Go to Settings β†’ Family Members β†’ Add Child. Enter your child's name and set a 4-digit PIN. Your child can then tap their name on the lock screen and enter their PIN to view the calendar without accessing parent settings or other family data.
What can kids see when they log in? βŒ„
Kids see a simplified view of the family calendar -- upcoming events and activities that involve them. They cannot see the Issues Panel, parent-only events, or account settings.
My child forgot their PIN. How do I reset it? βŒ„
Sign in as a parent, go to Settings β†’ Family Members, select your child's profile, and tap "Reset PIN". You can then set a new 4-digit PIN for them.
Account & Privacy
Your data and how we handle it
What data does NudgeFamily store? βŒ„
NudgeFamily accesses your Google Calendar to read events. We store your family group configuration and settings. We do not sell your data to third parties. See our Privacy Policy at nudgefamily.com/privacy for full details.
How do I delete my account? βŒ„
Go to Settings β†’ Account β†’ Delete Account. This will remove all your data from our servers. Alternatively, email us at contact@e-skillora.org and we'll process the deletion within 48 hours.
Is my calendar data shared with my partner? βŒ„
Your partner can see your calendar events in the shared view, but only within the NudgeFamily app. We do not share raw calendar data externally. You can choose to mark specific events as private in Google Calendar and they will not appear in the shared view.
